“Vishwa educates students on the environment at Malhar through the Photojournalism Workshop”
Vishwa, the organization that is an exponent of environment-friendly practices, will be a part Malhar at The St. Xavier’s College’s this year. Vishwa’s panel speaker, Mr. Rushikesh Chavan is the speaker for the photojournalism workshop called “Life in a Flash”. Vishwa has collaborated with Malhar as they both agree that the preservation of the environment is the key to our secure future and the youth is the catalyst toward this goal. Vishwa aims to emphasize that understanding the environment is the first stepping stone to responsible change.
The workshop involves a succinct speech by our eminent speaker Mr. Rushikesh Chavan’s who will be speaking on behalf of Vishwa. Mr. Chavan will speak on “The co-existence of Nature and Man” which is the theme of the workshop. In an attempt to inspire the students, he will highlight the difference between human beings and their ability or capability to co-exist with nature as well as adaptive powers or skills. He will also bring our attention to what one can learn from animals or the environment. Mr. Chavan will aim to characterize the relationship between Nature and Photojournalism.![15696.small[1]](http://readit.in/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/15696.small1_.jpg)
After the speech, the participants will be given a few hours to encapsulate the theme with a series of photographs. Using nothing but their cameras, the participants will have to create an original story which will then be judged. Mr. Chavan will also be a part of the judge’s panel.
Mr. Yogendra Vora, Founder & Conveynor of Vishwa says “Vishwa believes that it is imperative to highlight certain aspects of our mission at Malhar to reach out to a large amount of people, particularly the youth. They are our future leaders and
they have the power to emasculate the harmful practices brought upon us through years of taking the environment for granted. Like I always say, even if we manage to influence just one person, we know we are one step closer to our goal.”
