TeamLease IIJT Launches India’s First Satellite Delivered Program for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM Certification

TeamLease Services, India’s largest staffing Company and Indian Institute of Job Training (IIJT), India’s fastest growing vocational education company today announced the launch of a special online training course leading to the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM Certification. The course is designed and delivered by experts in the field of financial planning via satellite for the first time in India.

CFP Certification is considered as the gold standard in Financial Planning and is recognized in 24 countries across the globe including US, UK, Australia etc. amongst others. In India the CFP certification is conferred by FPSB India, which is affiliated with FPSB Ltd., USA, and is the sole licensing authority for CFP Marks in India. FPSB India is supported by 50 leading government and private sector organizations in the field of Banking, Financial Services, Mutual Funds and Insurance sector in India, who have come together to professionalize the profession of Financial Planning in India. FPSB India pro-actively guides the development and promotion of standards for financial planning professionals. “Being one of the fastest growing economies, at a minimum level even if the Financial Planners target 5 million families in India and assuming one financial planner manages 100 families, we would need at least 50,000 CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM practitioners immediately. Considered as the highest standard qualification in the field of financial planning, with over 1,25,000 CFP Certificants globally, who are widely respected by consumers, professionals and industry, CFP Certification is the most significant certification that any financial planner may acquire,” said Ranjeet S Mudholkar, CFPCM, Principal Advisor and Member-Board of Directors, FPSB India.

The first batch was inaugurated today by Shri C. B. Bhave, Chairman SEBI. Speaking at the launch Shri C.B. Bhave said, “Education in capital markets, amongst intermediaries, investors and advisors is something that is of prime concern to SEBI. Today’s initiative by TeamLease-IIJT is a critical step towards furthering this goal. The implementation of technology can help provide qualitative education in an interactive mode reaching to the length and breadth of India.”

“TeamLease IIJT prays to one god; jobs. And there is a wide shortage of people with the skills that CFPCM certification imparts because of recent regulatory changes in financial services distribution from transactions to relationships and execution to knowledge. Today launch synthesizes everything we stand for; market demand (financial planning), strong signaling value (CFPCM certification), learning-by-doing (mandatory internship), and quality at national scale (satellite delivery),”said Manish Sabharwal, Chairman, TeamLease Services.

Ashish Prasad, CEO- IIJT said “Satellite delivery is a superior application of technology than e-learning). Innovation does not lie in the technology but in instructional design, learning pedagogy, partnership between master trainer and para-skilled locational trainer, simulators, etc. to reduce the transmission losses versus the same trainer in the classroom, to 15-20 per cent. We have two studios in Bangalore and Delhi that currently beam to 65 centres, but will have 200+ centres by mid 2011.”

CFPCM certification is for financial services professionals, customer relationship officers, insurance agents, stock brokers, those looking to expand their careers in the financial services business, and graduates who want to be professionally and globally recognized. There are many opportunities in Banks, Financial Planning outfits, Wealth Managers, life Insurers, Accounting Firms, and Stock brokers seeking professionals. Financial Planners offer expert opinions on issues related to retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, investment planning, insurance planning, financial management of small businesses and trusts, stock brokering, debt and risk analysis.
